Call for Papers & Participation to pHealth 2021

Genoa, Italy, 8 – 10 November 2021

The 2021 edition of pHealth will emphasize the interrelated aspects of pHealth, i.e. personalized, participative, preventive, predictive precision medicine (5P medicine) in health and social services. In that context, mobile technologies, micro-nano-bio smart systems, bio-data management and analytics, artificial intelligence and robotics for personalized health, the Health Internet of Things (HIoT), systems medicine, public health and virtual care. It also addresses new potential risks for security and privacy as well as safety chances and challenges, trustworthiness of partners and processes, the motivation and empowerment of patients in care processes, and health systems challenges in developing countries. The multilateral benefits of pHealth technologies for all stakeholder communities give enormous potential, not only for medical quality improvement and industrial competitiveness, but also for managing health care costs and, last but not least, improving patient experiences. One important topic of the 2021 event will address digital health ecosystems in the context of 5P medicine.

The pHealth 2021 committees strive towards the possibility of including workshops and related pre-conference Summer Schools for graduates and PhD students in the field. The event is hosted by the Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and System Engineering (DIBIRS) of the University of Genoa, one of the largest universities in Italy.

All papers must be formatted in accordance with the IOS Press template instructions and have to be submitted through the conference online system at https://phealth2021.unige.net/Submission-Instructions.aspx/. All submitted papers will be subject to a peer-review process by three independent reviewers. Accepted full papers will be included in the pHealth 2021 Proceedings published in Open Access in the IOS Press Series “Studies in Health Technology and Informatics”. The series is indexed at Elsevier's EMCare, Elsevier's SciVerse Scopus, Google Scholar / Google Books, MEDLINE, PubMed, Thomson Reuters' Book Citation Index, and Thomson Reuters' Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

The organizers would like to welcome you for pHealth 2021. Unfortunately, due to the known problems, the meeting will only be virtual, but the Local Organizing Committee hopes to have you soon as guests in Genoa, an important area for science and industry as well as research and development in Italy. Please join us to share your expectations, experiences, projects, and results, and to open our domain up for the digitized future!
